Welcoming our new Chair of the Board of Trustees

We’re excited to announce our new Chair of the Board of Trustees. Fi Grossick, who has been a dedicated board member for the past four years, succeeds Jane Williams, who has served in this role since 2018.

Fi, a registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience, currently works within the NHS as the Head of Clinical Quality for health and justice. We caught up with Fi to learn more about her new role as Chair.

What are your top priorities are you begin your time as chair?

“It is a privilege to step into this role, and build on the journey we’ve been on since I joined the Board in 2019. It’s been an honour to be part of an organisation that has not only evolved and grown, but stayed true to its core values.

“I’m dedicated to enhancing our reputation as a provider of choice within the sector, positioning us at the forefront of delivering exceptional services and pioneering innovative solutions.

“Building on the remarkable achievements Jane made as Chair, my focus will be on driving the successful execution of our strategy. A top priority is to support the continuous growth and development of our organisation, where staff are empowered to deliver exceptional mental health services.”

Reflections of the Board

We also spoke with Jane to reflect on their time as Chair.

“I joined the Board in 2018, after a year of retiring from the NHS, which coincided with a pretty turbulent time. Just two years in, the pandemic hit, and the Board worked closely with the previous CEO in navigating the organisation through a time of profound change.

“I then stepped into the role of Chair to oversee the appointment of a new CEO and strategic recruitment of the Board members with the skills needed to support an expanded organisation. I’m pleased that both goals were achieved, and we now have an excellent senior team and Board in place.

“We also made some brave decisions to invest in our office spaces, which have certainly paid off. Northpoint is now a completely different organisation than it was in 2018, and it’s more than ready for its next chapter. I’m incredibly proud to have been part of that transformation. May you all continue to go from strength to strength, and support one another. I will always be cheering you on from the sidelines!”

We’re immensely grateful for Jane’s leadership, and look forward to an exciting new chapter with Fi as our Chair.
