Importance of needs-led support for neurodivergent presentations

The latest ADHD Taskforce report highlights the urgent need for systemic change across health, education, employment and justice.

Key recommendations

  • Delivering early, needs-led support without waiting for formal diagnosis
  • Creating joined-up services across health, education, employment, and justice
  • Upskilling professionals across health, education, employment, and justice

We’re proud to be ahead of the curve. Our therapeutic intervention model delivers bespoke, needs-led support for neurodivergent presentations – regardless of diagnosis.

We have:

  • Trialled this successfully in Kirklees
  • Expanded into Leeds school clusters as part of a brief intervention pilot
  • Explored ways to develop the offer within Calderdale Open Minds (CAMHS)
  • Provided neurodevelopmental therapeutic programmes for children and young people with SilverCloud® by Amwell

Leading innovation

Families told us they needed this long before the report – and we’ve been delivering for the past 12 months. We’re ready to scale and continue leading innovation in this space.

Tasha Walsh, our Clinical Co-ordinator and Project Manager, commented on our intervention work: "Two years ago, we identified these essential recommendations, focusing on children and young people.

"Traditional therapeutic methods often fell short, or were only provided post-diagnosis. We've dedicated ourselves to constantly adapting our services to address our children and young people's wellbeing needs.

"Over the past three years, I've developed the brief intervention model to meet these needs effectively."
