Neurodevelopmental support
Support for parents, carers, children and young people with traits of autism and/or ADHD

What we do
Our Open Minds Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CAMHS) service provides remote support and signposting for parents, carers, and educators of children and young people, who have traits of autism and/or ADHD. We also provide direct support to young people over the age of 13.
We process referrals for autism and/or ADHD, and review suitability for assessment. Within our neurodevelopmental pathway, we have dedicated support around your Right to Choose, as well as support and signposting while on a waiting list.

SilverCloud online support
SilverCloud provides a digital platform for parents, carers, and young people, without needing an autism or ADHD diagnosis to access the programmes.
Parents and carers can sign up to a digital platform designed to help families better understand and manage difficulties, such as anxiety, low mood and ADHD traits. Young people who have been diagnosed with ADHD, or display some of the traits, can access the ‘Living Well with ADHD’ programme.
You can find out more about the offer here.

Mental health support
The Open Minds (CAMHS) team can support children and young people with mental health difficulties, regardless of neurodevelopmental diagnoses, even if they are waiting for an assessment. This support can be requested by submitting a new referral.

Additional support
We have a downloadable leaflet with information on available support, including local parent and carer support groups, quality online resources and universal services.
You can use all the resources listed here, even if you don't have a diagnosis of autism or ADHD.
