GP-based services

Brief mental health support for patients at participating Leeds GP practices

What we do

Our brief-intervention mental health services, based in participating GP practices, are for adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues.

We provide:

  • Prompt assessment of your mental and emotional health needs
  • Enabling strategies to manage your own mental and emotional health
  • Support to access other mental health services as needed

We offer a single appointment, mainly by phone or video call, and usually within a few working days of referral – with the possibility of a follow-up session or re-referral if needed.

Who for

Patients registered at the GP practices listed here and experiencing common mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, sleep difficulties, panic attacks or acute distress arising from specific life events.

“I think this service is vital. I had no idea where I could get help other than going to my GP. Even having someone to speak to and have them listen to how you feel is bigger than most people will ever be able to understand.”
