School-based therapy for children and young people in Leeds
What we do
Mindmate Wellbeing in Leeds supports hundreds of school-aged children and young people each year, where emotional and mental health problems have affected their behaviour, attendance or attainment at school. The therapy usually takes place on school premises.
School-aged children and young people, and/or their parents and carers, can access Mindmate Wellbeing with a variety of issues, including:
- low mood
- family breakdown
- past abuse
- anger management problems
- difficulties at school.
How to refer
Referrals to this service are made either through the school or via the Mindmate Single Point of Access (SPA)
So, please talk to your child’s teacher, learning mentor or GP in the first instance.

Our service covers
primary and secondary schools,
in 16 “clusters” across the city.

Mindmate Wellbeing is run by Northpoint Wellbeing in partnership with Leeds schools/clusters, and commissioned by the Leeds Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Leeds schools/clusters.
